Does denying same-sex marriage protect the holy estate of marriage?

If Republicans and other developmentally challenged people want to deny same-sex couples marriage because it somehow "attacks the family" or "disregards the sanctity of marriage", does this mean that all divorces should be criminalized,second marriages dissolved, and first marriages be re-instituted? Further, should any marriage that does not produce a child within, oh- say 5 yrs, be dissolved and criminalized? Also, should married couples where the wife is past menopause be dissolved?

*snort* I have never in my life seen a holy marriage. Holy hell, but no holy marriage. People married long before the god of the old testament came along. It is not a religious institution. It is a public statement of a union between 2 people.
