The Menopause Centre

Keeping cool in the heat?

I am 20 years old and I am always HOT!! I think its a mixture of the fact that i'm overweight (and working on it!) and I'm sure it runs in the family...My mom and aunt also get hot all the time .. (their young, no menopause yet)...

I work at a childcare center and it gets REALLY HOT during the summer. Last year it was 90 degreese out and our airconditioner broke. There were about 60 children in the building and 20 adults..the body heat was not helping! ((yet it wasnt hot enough in the building to shut down))...

Not only that but of course we're required to bring the kids outside for at least a half hour (unless temperatures are extreme)...

I wear cool/loose clothing and i bring bottles of ice water with me - but do you have any other tips to help prevent sweating? ((i dont sweat enough to have any kind of operation..my face just gets really red and sweaty really quick)..

Or ways to keep cool while i'm outside (or even inside if the a/c breakes)?

Yes , you are like me although i am slim I have a warm metabolism.
You may benifit from taking Homeopathic sulphur that cools the blood
Also run cold water over your wrists and apply a damp cool wet towl to the back of your neck wear sunglasses I always think psycologically that it feels coler wear a sunhat .
