First Signs Menopause

Menopause - the signs?

How do you know whether you are on the memopause?
Over the last 4 years i have only had a couple of periods, very light and only lasting a couple of days. I was never that heavy anyway. Have been sterlised over the last few years (periods were decreasing then anyway) and am a few stone overweight, don't know if any of these things affect it.
Doctor never mentions it when i have been for a smear, and for the first time ever my smear was abnormal this time and due to go for another one this/next month.
i am over 40.

Well it does sound like you are well on the way through the menopause. I suggest you ask for the blood test that will determine if you are still ovulating, or did you have your ovaries out? The blood test measures the hormone levels.... No harm in asking when yhou go for the next smear! Good luck!

Symptoms Hot Flashes Fatigue

25 weeks pregnant with dizziness, fatigue, nausea, and Hot Flashes after eating?

I'm 25 weeks and 3 days pregnant and just recently have been experiencing dizziness, sudden and extreme fatigue, nausea, and hot flashes after i eat for the first time every day. Also if i wait for a long time to eat in the mornings, the symptoms are worse afterwards. Before eating i am extremely moody. I'm thinking that it has something to do with my sugar, but i was wondering if anyone else may know whats causing this. Its starting to disrupt my daily routine and is extremely uncomfortable. Also, after eating, i always have to guzzle water for an hour or more. Please help! I dont get my glucose screening for another 2 and a half weeks. PLEASE HELP!

If you just said dizziness, i would have said that it is normal and comes with pregnancy around this time (mine started at about 20-21 weeks). But all that other stuff sounds like it could have something to do with your sugar. If i were you, i'd call the dr and explain your symptons just incase it is something more serious that can't wait 2 weeks. Call them and they'll either tell you how to fix it or maybe just have you come in for tests a little earlier than scheduled. Hope this helps!
