Menopause Home Testing

Any Doctors in the house? Is my m8 pregnant?

My m8 who's 40 has been told she's going through the menopause. she's done 5 home pregnancy tests 3 were positive and 2 were negative. is she pregnant or is it just a hormone unbalance?

It is possible to get a false positive reading although it is rare; there are a number of causes for false positive pregnancy tests, some medical and some to do with medications.
However in someone sexually active the most common reason for a positive result is pregnancy and even women who are peri-menopausal (the stage leading to the menopause), can get pregnant. It sounds like time for your friend to make an appointment with her Dr :-)

Menopause Info

need more info on a procedure called "merenia insertion". its to do with menopause.?

the insertion is placed into the ovaries and helps controll bleeding.

I think what you are referring to is an IUD called " Mirena". It is an intra-uterine device inserted into your uterus to prevent pregnancy, but what it also does is it supposedly regulates your periods too as it contains a small amount of progesterone. Have you discussed the option of taking oral contraceptives instead with your doctor?
