Hot Flashes From Menopause
These aren't Hot Flashes. I'm too young. What is it?
I know it's not menopause or anything, I'm only 11.
But recently I have been getting really hot.
Usually it's just a sudden flash of hotness but the other times it starts as a cold tingly feeling that goes from my feet all the way to my chest then I start ot get hot and sweat a bit. It does this usually at school when I'm sitting at my desk or standing up.
Does anyone know what this may be?
thanks in advance.
You might be having an episode of "low blood sugar." Do not assume this means you need to consume sugar, because consuming sugar actually causes the problem. Do you eat enough balanced meals? Do you eat enough calories? If you are having fruit loops or pop tarts for breakfast and drinking soda pop, then you can get this episode of "low blood sugar" and you will feel very hot, your palms will be sweaty, and you could feel dizzy with it.
If this is what it is, you need to eat better and eat more frequently - but eat good, wholesome foods.
