Antibiotics do not treat mononucleosis..... Are your lymph nodes swollen.... do you have any pain in your abdominal area..... how long has this been going on? It seems to me like your symptoms reflect more toward a virus or flu..... b/c The most common symptoms of mono are fever, severe sore throat, swollen glands (lymph nodes), and fatigue. Serious symptoms can include abdominal pain, which may suggest an inflamed spleen or liver, and difficulty breathing, which can suggest swollen lymph nodes in the throat closing the airway.
