Severe Menopause

does anyone else suffer from effects of menopause like severe Hot Flashes and excessive sweating?

I am 55 and I just find it hard to handle this awful sweating where it runs into my ears and down my neck and face, and I was taking harmone replacements, but stopped due to so much risk involved with taking it. HELP

yeah, i'm right there with ya hon! i had a complete hysterectomy 3 years ago due to medical problems. i don't take the hormones because of the risks with bone loss and they make my face break out something awful. mine are worse at night and interfere with sleeping. 50 degrees outside and i have th AC on full blast!! i have found that when my feet are cooler, my whole body is cooler. sometimes i just soak my feet in cold water for a while.
