Quick Cure For Hot Flashes
Serious Mood Swing and Hot Flash question...?
I am 20 y/o and I am having horrrrrrrrible Hot Flashes and mood swings.. I am having crazy periods like... I will have a period for months at a time. I am very stressed right now, which could be a reason why im having crazy periods. Since my periods are still going on like crazy, I don't think it's premenopausal or anything. I was wondering if anyone knew some type of vitamin that would help cure the mood swings and hot flashes without having anything to do with menopause...because i really doubt thats what it is... and another question, if i were to take something that dealt with menopause like Estroven, would that mess with me in a "bad" way?? Please help... if you know any type of vitamin that might help cure the hot flashes and mood swings, i would be more than greatful!
By the way... I know I need to go to the gyn ...etc... Im just wanting a quick answer if there are any vitamins that anyone knows that is out on the market that might help reduce my symptoms... thanks!
Might not be the gyn you need. Do you or anyone in you family have a history of Thyroid Disease? It sounds like you could have a problem with your thyroid. A couple simple blood tests and a physical exam can determine that.
So, you can try a complex B vitamin, B6 and B12 specifically, they are suppose to help with mood swings. You should also be taking a daily vitamin with iron, especially if your periods are very bad, to help prevent anemia. Also if your doctor hasn't told you, you should be sure your calcium intake is equal to 1000 mg - 1200 mg everyday, either by your daily intake or with a supplement.
As for supplemental hormones, natural or prescription are not good for you, you should not take them. They fix one thing and can cause another, so stay off them if you can, if you can't then take them for only a short interval. Do not commit to them for an extended time. They are known to cause breast cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian and uterine cancer. Bad periods and mood swings won't seem so bad.
So take your vitamins, but, first and foremost, get to the doctors.
