Premature Menopause
Why are my monthly cycles getting really long and irregular?
I'm usually pretty regular. But all of a sudden my cycles are getting really long. In december last year i was meant come on my period on christmas day. I ended up coming on my period on the 1st of jan. A week late! Lasting up to cd37! On average i have a 31 day cycle. And now im still waiting for my period and i'm on cd33.Do you think i could be slowly going through premature menopause?
We are currently TTC but my cycles seem to get longer each month
I definately would not say its premature menopause.
I used to have very regular, reliable 28 day cycles. I got a hormone imbalance and since then I have had random irregular cycles. I even missed a period for 8 months! I've missed one for 6 months, 4 months, 2 months...if the body isn't balanced enough to do its job it will mess everything up.
You can be late on your period for sooo many reasons,
changes in diet, exercise, sexualy activity, stress, hormone imbalanes, etc.
Theres really alot of reasons.
If your really worried about it I'd say check with your doctor, they will do all the proper tests to let you know if its anything to worry about it.
If its not a big deal and you'd just like to regulate your cycle again...try taking vitex (chasteberry/angus cactus) it is an herbal supplement that naturally regulates hormones and the menstrual cycle. Do some research on the net...its very worth the try.
