Pregnancy After Menopause
10 months after birth ive had only one period?
i am 34 yrs old. my cycle has been normal for many years. i have taken several hpt with negative results. i went to dr when my son was 5 months old. all was done was another pregnancy test---negative. i was told i would have to wait one year after giving birth to be examined. weirdly coincidently i had a normal period for the next few days. but that was it. i do not hurt or even feel bloated. as bad as women dred this time i would love to start having normal cycles again......if anything to know i wasnt going into early menopause. i know hormones get screwed up during & after pregnancy but this is a bit unusual im sure. any ideas, suggestions or experiences of this kind would be of great help.
btw....i do not breastfeed & have not lactated for several months.
When I was nursing I didn't have any periods. My doctor said it is like nature's birth control... (don't get pregnant, cause then I can't make milk to provide for THIS baby) ... but it is still possible to get pregnant. If you aren't lactating, I don't know why you wouldn't have your period.
