Post Menopause And Spotting

post menopausal bleeding?

Hi my mom who is going to be 60 soon is experiencing some spotting,a lot of constant wetness and backache. She had her menopause 10 years back! Urinary track infection is rules out. She is diabetic. Doctors suggest her to come for testes only when her sugar levels are low,which are not coming down. So diagnosis is hard.Any suggestions please?

Ok this is a very serious situation. Post menopausal bleeding is never benign unless your mother is taking hormone replacement which I'm guessing she's not since she had menopause so long ago. It could either be endometrial cancer or an ovarian cancer that is increasing hormone levels that stimulates the endometrium to proliferate and bleed again. I would suggest seeing a gynecologist who will most likely to an endometrial biopsy and do some other testing maybe an ultrasound. DO NOT DELAY!
