Perimenopause Signs Of Perimenopause
Could this be a sign of perimenopause?
I 'm only 38, but my mom was really young also. I know the final answer is going to be to go see a Dr. My period has been messed up for a little over a year now. Ten months ago, I had skipped it for 2 months, but had lost 20+ lbs back then dieting & exercising and had a norm pap 2 month before then so really didn't think much of it. When I finally did get it back it was alot lighter & only lasts a couple of days, but did come every month up until the last 2 months now again I have not got it. Thought I did the other day, saw alot of pink & then never got it back again. I have insomnia all the time. Always very, very moody-sometimes unbearable. Definitely not pregnant! If this is not a sign of perimeno., does anyone else have any idea what it may sound like? I will make a Dr. appt., but just curious until then.
It certainly isn't impossible. For most it begins after 40 and can last anywhere from 2-10 years. But even at your age, you can literally be just fine one day and the next day find yourself in that "perimenopause zone."
Also, some of the first changes many women notice (even before changes in the menstrual cycle,) are changes in sleep patterns and mood swings. So again, this could certainly be the case with you. It's quite a ride, I can attest to that! lol.
