Perimenopause Periods

I have irregular periods heavy bleeding and clotting, my doctor suggests the mirena iud.?

I have hepc and I would like suggestions on certain bc for my perimenopause. I am not to sure about the Mirena, but my doctor suggests it. I had heavy bleeding and clots and went to the ER they told me to follow up with my doctor.I feel overwelmed about this situation. Can someone give me suggestions.

I got my Mirena per the recommendation of my OB this past November to resolve my painful, long, and heavy menstruation. It's been great.

I had previously used pills, the shot, etc and they had actually worsened my problem along with other things they brought on to me as well.

With the Mirena, I have had zero side effects. My last period was a week after the insertion, in November and I have not seen it since. I'm very happy with the results thus far.

I say, do your research on the different methods out there, maybe seek a second opinion. Weigh your options and see what would work best for you.
