Costume for a CRAZY lady?

Ok, so I'm a theatre nerd and am going to my high school region competition next week. I'm performing a monologue from the one woman show The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe. My character is a woman starting menopause and she is on the verge of crazy. She is pretty kooky and its at the start of the play so she's not TOO insane.... I need to dress pretty normal except for a few key elements to clearly, but subtly indicate I don't have all of my marbles.
It needs to be more of an accessory, or something I can add to the outfit.

you could wear odd colours for example colours that don't match, some none brushed hair etc & it should b gd
