Is it OK for a man to wear a wig or a hairpiece?

I am a "balding man". "Balding" is as much a mental trauma for a man, as menopause for a woman. I have been thinking of getting a wig or a hair-piece. People usually make fun of, and redicule a man wearing a hair-piece. When women wear wig, they all talk about it in a positive way and praise each other. Why is this double standard. Is it OK for men to wear a wig or hair-piece?

i think its ok to wear one unless being bald suits you if thats the case just shave your head and if you wear a wig and someone has something to say and they have nice hair...SHAVE THEM
