Menopause Fevers

Weird Symptom? I Get Really Hot then Really Cold?

It is usually at night, but all of a sudden I get really hot for no reason. I don't have a fever. I usually have to change clothes just to cool down, but I barely sweat. Then when I try to sleep I get really cold, covered in goosebumps and shaking no matter how buried under the thick blanket I am. But oddly enough I still feel hot at the same time. It has been about three days like this, and it sucks.

Any clue what the heck this is? I am 22 years old, I am not going through menopause.
I did just start drinking a lot more water because I am on a diet! Ugh! Now I feel dumb, I really hope that is what this is because it sucks! Thank you sooo much!

This sounds like an issue with your body's electrolyte count... you might have an imbalance... try drinking some Gatorade a few hours before you "normally" would feel like this. If it makes it worse then stop drinking it... then consider something in your diet is causing this. I'm pretty sure the Gatorade might help. Also it could be an issue with your thyroid (look up thyroid problems). Hope this helps... as always consider seeing a doctor before taking advice.
