Menopause And Hair Loss Medications

Alot of hair loss and irritability?

My hair is waist long and I am 54. I have been going through menopause for about 15 years and always had Hot Flashes and now I went to the doctor with a bag of hair loss from one day and I was very irritable. He diagnosed me as post menopausal. I am feeling much better with the medication but my hair comes out in clumps. It is not heratitary at all. Please help, I am getting hair phobia, constantly picking up hair, alot of hair.

Has it been a long time since you last had a complete blood lab work-up? You may have an underlying condition, such as hyperthyroidism perhaps? I know it is normal to lose hair during menopause. I am in the beginning stages of it myself ( I am 46.)
