Know Menopause Hormones
Does the desire for children disappear after menopause?
I am in a situation where I cannot have a child. But my body wants one very badly. It is a constant hunger and makes me very sad/depressed. I can accept things with my mind, but have no control over the emotional pain. This has been here for years.
What I want to know, from anyone with experience, is if this biologically driven pain goes away over time as a woman's hormones change and she is no longer biologically able to become pregnant. Basically, I want to know if others have experience this and if there is *hope* for the pain to disappear one day. Please share any experiences.
Thank you.
I'm so sorry for your pain.
I am not in menopause yet, but I am in perimenopause and have friends who are post-menopausal. I think that once you are a baby lover, you will always feel "mushy" over them, but maybe not the same level as pre-menopause.
I sincerely wish you well.
Good luck.
