Frequent Hot Flashes Not Menopause
could it be depression?
lately i have been very moody. i usually just brush it off as PMS, but its becoming more and more frequent and not just around the time of my menstral cycle. i have extreme mood swings, hot and cold flashes, etc etc. i am only 31 years old so i dont think its menopause. ive recently gotten a divorce and i am having a hard time financially, my children arent cooperating at home and my job is becoming a place i would rather not be. could this be depression, stress or what? i seriously do not want to take any type of antidepressants, but the crying is becoming a bit of a problem.
This could be depression, just because you sound like you're running low on personal reserves to deal with a lot of real stressors in your life. I suggest trying to settle as many of the stressors as possible, (who needs unnecessary stress?), and then see how you're doing. If it's still getting you down, how about calling a mental health clinic? They could tell you where to find support groups and therapy groups, so you could work through your depression with those instead of the drugs. As a side note, antidpressants aren't particularly rough to take. The new ones often don't have side effects for most people, so unless you have other reasons for not wanting medication, maybe keep an open mind.
