First Signs Of Menopause Periods

Ok I read this article has anyone else heard of this as a pregnancy sign?

"The first indication that you might be pregnant is if you have missed a menstrual period. This indicator is not a sure pregnancy sign, as a missed period could be caused by stress, illness or the onset of menopause. Another indicator is if the period is just unusual - longer, shorter, heavy, or lighter."

My last period was a lot longer than normal and the color of the blood was a lot darker...so should I take this as a sign of pregnancy??? It was probably about twice as long as normal...I was afraid that I was having a chemical pregnancy (misscariage) so I didnt test...but should I now??
Or am I just reading too much into this??

There are as many signs for early pregnancy as women on this earth. And an unusual period as you described might certainly be one of them.
I personally haven't experienced this, but my mom had unusual periods (ranging from barely there to constant bleeding) with all 3 of us until she was about 6 months along, and we are all healthy and were born without complications.
If you suspect that you are pregnant you should test and if it turns out negative, you might be right in your suspicion of a chemical pregnancy. And even though it is little comfort, if it was, you at least know that it is possible and you just need a little more time.
I wish you all the best and good luck!
