Bleeding After Menopause Symptoms

How serious is post menopausal bleeding?

Someone close to me just started bleeding 4 years after menopause. I know this isn't normal, but has anyone known anyone who has experienced this before? I know it can be a sign of cancer, but hopefully since the symptoms just started it can be cureable.

I very much doubt that this is menstrual bleeding, I suggest that she does not use any form of intermal tampon and gets to a doctor ASAP.

Of course I do not know the severity but I am assuming she is losing quite a lot. Either way she definitely needs to get it seen to.
