After Menopause Weight Loss
Weight loss and beer?
I would like to lose some weight, I walk about an hour 5 days a week, Im in menopause and quit smoking 29 months ago. I like to drink a few beers after work and a few more on weekends. If I give up beer will it really make a difference in my weight?
yes it will mae a huge difference. being introduced to beer in college made me gain about 40 pounds.
beer dehydrates you making it harder to metabolize fat back into glucose
beer stimulates fat production which stimulates estrogen production that hinders fat loss and muscle gain
beer has alot of empty calories
most of all beer and alcohol are depressants and inhibit performance for a day or two after drinking making your workout less effective
